::: Do you maintain a relationship with your business?
It is a great mistake to believe that relations are solely limited to interpersonal interactions. What about the interaction that you have with material possessions such as money, or with intangible notions that help you define your vision of what personal and professional successes and achievements are supposed to signify? A business is an entity with which a relationship exists. Like in most relationships, from time to time personal insecurities can arise. And they considerably limit the results that need to be attained as well as all the processes that are utilized to reach those results.
I have worked with so many business owners and corporate executives who are perceived as highly successful. And yet, it was extremely interesting to notice that, deep inside, they utterly resented success. They were absolutely not aware of it. The existence of this resentment that greatly limited their potential had been created non-cognitively. And it prevented them from thriving and prospering like never before. For most people, this does not make any sense. For them, it was liberating to finally acknowledge that they had constructed series of confinements to accommodate a situation, another individual, or a group of individuals.
::: Do you need to create a fracture with business-focused commonalities?
For what reasons would businesses only thrive and prosper during times of economic growth? Why should business executives wait for indicators to turn green to innovate, explore new possibilities and new opportunities, and set aside all forms of conservatism? Also, should employees' morale reach an all-time high solely when the overall business environment is judged as favorable?
What if exogenous factors did not have to affect the core of your operations? Would you like to "surf the wave" at all times, regardless of the economic conditions? Do you believe that you have the ability to constantly empower yourself, so you can be fully aware of the impact of all those decisions that you desire to make? What if you knew that the strategic decisions you are taking, not only for your business as an entity but also for your employees, were generators of exponential productivity and, ultimately, exponential profitability? What if you could systematically expand, develop and use your potency to anticipate way ahead of time any shifts pertaining to your business and your industry? I facilitate business owners, executives, boards, management teams and their staffs to recognize all those limitations from which they are still functioning, and that are affecting negatively, if not dreadfully, their operations as well as their professional and personal lives. A great limitation is the sentiment of insecurity and uncertainties in the work place, at all levels. Such sentiment triggers the apparition of office politics, with the following consequences: defiance, low morale, decrease in productivity, and ultimately a drop in the organization's profitability. A drop in profitability will loop back down to the base, with potential salary cuts and absence of bonuses, which will create more insecurity, more defiance etc.
I assist my clients to identify all the obstacles - at each level of the corporation: from the board room down to the mailing room - that prevent their businesses from reaching exponentially higher profits, before working with them on assessing and establishing perennial solutions.
